uPVC porches are the answer to: where do you put those muddy boots, shoes and wet coats together with the other jumble we all seem to accumulate but cannot throw out.
uPVC Porches don’t cost the earth and once you have one you will wonder how you carried on before. Porches give you that extra room which allows you to put all those shoes, boots and coats that all seem to find themselves onto the back of chairs, door handles and of course the post at the bottom of the stairs. Another plus point of porches they keep your house clean, shoes off in the porch please! Porches will also add valve to your property as it will give that extra bit of space also enhancing your home. One point people forget about is that porches will help to keep your house warm as it will cut down on heat loss. All Clear Vision windows and doors comply with FENSA regulations.
By adding a porch will enhance the security of your home by putting another barrier between you and an intruder. All our windows and doors have multipoint locking systems that meet with insurance company’s approval.
uPVC Porches and Planning permission
Planning permission may be required however there is no need to worry. Clear Vision glazing and Conservatory Company will automatically apply for this should it be required.
I have listed the conditions that will attract planning permission. Porches of size (measured externally) of more than 3 square meters.
Porches higher than 3 meters above ground level. Porches less than 2 meters away from the boundary of a house or highway which includes all public roads, footpaths, bridle ways, byways, listed buildings and conservation areas.
So now you know what the regulations are, and by the way, building regulations are also a requirement. But don’t worry it just means that the porch must be built to comply with current regulations, which are good for you as the job will be inspected by a building control officer to ensure it being built correctly.
